1. Accepting these terms
By creating an account, getting an API key or sending a request to the Waves API, you agree to these terms. If you use Waves for a company, you confirm you can accept them on its behalf. You must be at least 18 years old.
2. Your account and API keys
You are responsible for everything done with your account and keys.
- Keep your API keys secret. Do not put them in public code or client apps.
- Tell us right away at [security@your-domain.com] if a key may be exposed, and rotate it in the dashboard.
- One person or company per account. Do not resell access to the API as your own raw API without a written agreement.
3. Acceptable use
You may not use Waves to create, request or share:
- Sexual content involving minors, or any content that exploits or endangers children.
- Sexual or intimate images of a real person without their consent, or deceptive deepfakes of real people.
- Content that infringes copyright, trademarks or other rights, including copying a living artist's work or voice.
- Harassment, threats, hate content, or material that promotes violence or illegal activity.
- Spam, malware, or attempts to break, overload or reverse engineer the service.
You must also follow the usage policies of the model providers listed in section 5. We may block prompts or results that break these rules.
4. Prompts and generated content
You keep whatever rights you have in your prompts and input files. Subject to these terms and the model providers' terms, [COMPANY] claims no ownership of the images, videos and music you generate. You are responsible for how you use them, including checking that they are safe to publish and do not infringe anyone's rights.
Generated content may not be unique: other users may receive similar results.
5. Third-party models
Waves routes requests to models run by other companies, such as OpenAI, Google, xAI and Suno. Their availability, output and features can change without notice. Model names belong to their owners, and Waves is not affiliated with or endorsed by them unless stated.
6. Credits, payment and refunds
- Credits are bought in advance and spent per generation at the rates on the Pricing page. A VAT invoice is issued for every purchase.
- Failed jobs: you are not charged for a job that fails; its credits are returned to your balance.
- Credit expiry: credits do not expire and stay in your balance until used.
- Refunds: [YOUR POLICY, e.g. unused credits refundable within 14 days of purchase].
- Prices may change with [NOTICE PERIOD] notice. Credits already bought keep their value.
7. Privacy and data retention
We process prompts and input files only to run your requests, and we pass them to the model provider that serves the job. Generated files are kept for [RETENTION PERIOD] and then deleted; download anything you want to keep. Request logs are kept for [LOG PERIOD]. 8. Availability and limits
We work to keep the API available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Rate limits apply per key ([DEFAULT LIMIT]). When a model has no free capacity, requests may answer 503 and should be retried later.
9. Suspension and termination
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, put the service or other users at risk, or fail to pay. Where possible we will give notice first.
10. Disclaimers and liability
The service and all generated content are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, [COMPANY]'s total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the [3] months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or lost-profit damages.
11. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here and, for important changes, email you [NOTICE PERIOD] in advance. These terms are governed by the laws of [COUNTRY], and disputes go to the courts of [CITY].
